Port Isaac Cornwall poster print
Port Isaac may be small fishing village, but its every bit as beautiful as its bigger neighbours along the Cornwall coast. It has a tiny popular of just 700 but has still managed to make a big impact on the big and small screens - first as a backdrop original Poldark series in the 1970s, then as the fictional town of Portwenn in the ITV series Doc Martin. Most recently, it was the location for 2019 film Fishermans Friends, which is based on a true story of a sea-shanty singing group from Port Isaac.
With its narrow winding streets, white-washed buildings and craggy coastline, Port Isaac has become well-known for its traditional English beauty and is now a popular holiday spot in the summer months. There is plenty of accommodation available in the area from traditional-style coaching inns to spacious cottages, chic B&B's and listed buildings with dreamy coastal views.
The village is built around the harbour and beach area, which is the inspiration for our poster design. Although small, the cliff surrounds make the area more sheltered which makes it popular with families who like to enjoy playing in the rock pools in low tide, or watching the fishing boats bobbing about in the cove.
