Prague Poster Print

Touted as having a beauty comparable to Paris and the best beer in all of Europe, the city of Prague has secured itself a reputation as being a top city break destination. As the largest city in the  Czech Republic Prague has about 1.3 million residents and some of the most dramatic architecture in all of Europe. Featuring Renaissance, baroque Romanesque and gothic styles, there’s something wonderful to see at every turn.

The Czechs invented larger, so it’s no surprise that Prague is filled with bars and touted as a ‘drinker’s paradise’. From cool, converted cellars, traditional pubs, lively party bars to beer gardens, there’s something for everyone. A pint of beer will even cost you less than a bottle of water I some places! Given the nation’s love of beer, it’s surprising to learn that their official national drink is a Becherovka, an herbal bitter/liqueur created using a secret recipe of herbs and spices.

Our travel poster design features two of Prague’s best known landmarks. The Church of Mother of God before Tyn is a gothic a church that has dominated the skyline of Old Town and can be seen from all around Prague. Built in the 14^th century, it features two dramatic towers that around 80 metres high. The Charles Bridge is a stone construction that’s over 500 metres long and officially a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Completed in the early 15^th Century, the medieval-style structure is protected by bridge towers and was a primary connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town. Until the mid-19^th century, it was also the only way to cross the River Vltava.
