The Cote d'Azur (which translates to Blue Coast) is more commonly referred to as the French Riviera and is made up of resorts that read like a whos who of glamorous places to go on holiday. Nice, Saint Tropez, Cannes, Monaco and several ski resorts can all be found along this rich and beautiful section of coastline of the South of France, which runs all the way to the border of the Italian Riviera.

Though each town, city and village on the riviera has their own identity and charm, they are united by their balmy summer weather, immaculate appearance and a huge dose of French chic and charm.

The stunning town of Nice is the exact location on this glorious stretch of paradise that we have chosen to base our design on, known as the capital of the Cote d'Azur. Less than a twenty-minute drive from the local airport, you could be sunning yourself on the Promenade de Anglais, one of the most seductive seafronts in all of Europe, within an hour of touching down. It is virtually impossible to look down at the powdery soft sand and dreamy blue sea without wanting to dive in and enjoy!

Away from the sandy shores, Nice itself has plenty of activities on offer, so you will never be short of things to do. You can take things completely at your own pace here; whether thats wandering the charming streets to admire the colour-popping buildings (perhaps ducking into a shop or two), getting your bearings on one of the tourist buses around the city, taking in a museum or marvelling at the most visited attraction, the Russian Orthodox Cathedral. If you have a head for hights, a trip up the 300ft high Castle Hill (by foot, road or elevator) is well worth it to get some spectacular views of the vista down below.
