Hiding in the shadow of the Teix mountain, Deia is an idyllic Mallorcan settlement comprising houses rendered in the traditional ochre-and-green style, common to the region. Although its population numbers only a few hundred people, Deia is home to more than its fair share of famous actors, artists and writers, including Pablo Picasso and Michael Douglas. It should come as no surprise that Deia is considered Mallorca's artists' village.
