London attractions and places of interest scattered around the city. One of the most recognisable is Tower Bridge, commonly referred to as London Bridge and the subject of our design. It was completed in 1894 and is open to the public to visit the towers, engine room and glass floored aerial walkways.
As you'll see in the background of our image, the sky looks a little foggy, which is a nod to the traditional London weather. The UK's capital city used to be nicknamed "the big smoke" due to the clouds of smoke visitors used to see as they approached the city, largely due to burning coal.
You can't visit London without enjoying a spot of shopping, and you'd be spoilt for choice on where to go. High Street lovers will be right at home on Oxford Street, which also houses the famous Selfridge and Co. If designer goods are your thing, Bond Street features high end brands such as Gucci, Jimmy Choo and Burberry. Alternatively, well known department store Harrods in Knights Bridge has all of this in one place. For those who like a bit of vintage quirk of charm, the swinging sixties vibes of Carnaby Street could be just the ticket.
Afternoon tea was also born here, so you must partake in a traditional London afternoon tea during your visit. The ultimate venue for this must be The Ritz in Mayfair, which has been serving tea in The Palm Court for generations. Many other luxe hotels around London have taken the afternoon tea concept and given it a delightfully dreamy twist - The Sanderson offers a Mad Hatter tea, Sketch provides posh cheese toasties in a beautiful pink retro themed setting, while B Bakery combines tea with a red bus tour of the city.
