Starting life as a humble farming village, Ischgl has emerged as a bustling town with a chic international flavour and great nightlife. High end boutiques line the main streets, whilst buildings still retain their original charm.

Sitting on the Austrian border with Switzerland, Ischgl is hailed as a snowboarders paradise, with its Snowpark being one of the best in the Alps. It played host to the first ever Snowboarding World Cup in 1993 and has been developing its facilities ever since.

Aside from snowboarding, ski options are most widely available for intermediates, but choices for beginner and expert level are also widely available. Off the slopes there are also a host of other fun-filled winter activities to part in including tobogganing, ice skating and curling.

The Apr̬s ski scene is described in two words: lively and loud. Many of the key nightspots are based within hotels yet range widely in style, all the way from American-style diner through to cosy lodge chalets and trendy ice bars.

Each year the resort hosts two Top of the Mountain concerts to open and close out the winter season. This is a free event thats attracted up to 20,000 visitors and locals that shows Ischgl knows how to throw a good shindig! Previous performers have included Lenny Kravitz, Jason Derulo, Muse and Robbie Williams.
