One of the most famous spots in Phuket is James Bond Island (real name Koh Ta-pu) in Phang Nga Bay, made famous in 1974 on The Man With The Golden Gun. Another spot that visitors flock to in this area is Koh Panyee, a village built on stilts guarded by a large vertical rock. Tourists can visit on day trips to shop, eat, drink and marvel at how wooden and concrete piles have been engineered to create this unique community.
