Edinburgh Scotland poster print
As the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh has established itself as a city that blends entertainment, history and modern day charm together almost effortlessly.
Edinburgh is jam-packed full of things to do for the almost 5 million tourists that visit each year, with some of its activities being among the most sought after in Britain. These include Edinburgh Zoo, an 82 acre area home to some of the worlds most fascinating and endangered species since 1913. For several weeks each year the city is home to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; the worlds largest arts festival. Established in 1947; for a few weeks each summer the city plays host to a variety of live performances of comedy, theatre, cabaret and much more.
Our poster design shows a beautiful panorama over Edinburghs skyline from Calton Hill. The structure to the left is the Dugald Steward Monument; a Greek-inspired monument to commemorate the Scottish philosopher and university Professor who died in 1828.
Standing proudly on a hill to the rear is Edinburgh Castle; the most famous building in the city and probably one of the UK's most visited tourist attractions. People from all over the world flock to hear its infamous One O'clock cannon fire salute; which commemorates a tradition of helping ships to synchronise their clocks.
