Once well-known as a fishing town, in more recent times St. Ives has become a popular hub for holidaymakers looking for a summer getaway on the sunny Cornish coast, winning the title of Best UK Seaside Town on two consecutive years in the early 2010s.

There are plenty of hotels, holiday parks and cottages in the area for the 200,000 tourists that holiday every year. Whether you are after sea views, chic interiors or traditional Cornish charm, there's something for everyone. The area is awash with beauty and wildlife, and many tourists enjoy a trip to Seal Island to experience just that. Seal Island is one of the only places in the UK where seals can be seen in their natural habitat, and the views from the boat on the journey are not to be missed.

One of the towns crowning glories is Harbour Beach, which is the inspiration for our poster design. Based very close to town, its easy for visitors to grab a drink or bite to eat before relaxing on the golden sands. As the beach is part of the working harbour, you can spot the local fisherman unloading their daily catches from their boats (mainly bass and mackerel) or view the 100 year-old lifeboat station, which is open to visitors during the summer months.
