Orlando, Florida there is no way you haven't heard of this place before!
Located in Florida, Americas 27th state, Orlando is one of the most visited cities in the world. In 2018 it recorded more than 75 million visitors came to enjoy the weather, shopping and immense amount of tourist attractions on offer.
Many UK tourists tend to visit Orlando during the summer months when temperatures are humid and sometimes a bit rainy, however the best time to go is between October and April when the climate is still warm but less humid (and also a little less wet).
For many, Orlando is a magical place to visit, which is probably because it is home to the most magical place on earth. Walt Disney World opened back in 1971 and has since grown to include 4 theme parks, water parks, hotels, golf courses and a shopping centre covering an astonishing 39 square miles.
If you manage to tear yourself away from the citys iconic theme parks, you will find there is a lot more to Orlando than you might realise. This includes places to enjoy more traditional culture, like Orlando Science Center or Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens (amongst many, many others). For a good ol fashioned night of eating, drinking and dancing, Thornton Park is a hub of bars and restaurants that's just the ticket.
Eco tourism is popular in Orlando too; with many natural and wildlife attractions close by. Visit the botanical paradise of Harry P.Leu Gardens (a popular location for weddings), Forever Florida Wildlife Conservation area or take a swamp tour in an iconic airboat.
