Once a Medieval city perched on the Southwest coast of Turkey, Alanya is now known as popular tourist resort. Although the original castle and walls remain, the city has boomed in recent years to become a thriving cosmopolitan hub of bars, beach and shopping.

The Alanya nightlife is actually some of the most legendary in all of Turkey. It doesn't get started until late, but it lasts until the early hours of the next day. Think lively bars and pulsing clubs playing a variety of music from electropop to chart hits.

If you like your holiday temperatures scorching, you're in the right place. Weather in Alanya is hot and sunny virtually all year round - in the summer expect highs of around 35 degrees Celsius, in the winter months things cool off to a still very respectable 15 degrees.

The beaches are one of Alanya's main draws for holidaymakers, and it's not difficult to see why. Cleopatra Beach (the one we've featured in our poster design) is one of the 2 Blue Flag beaches in town and arguable the most popular; with a 2km stretch of powdery soft sand that enjoys views of the old Medieval Castle.
