Neatly tucked away in the Pacific Ocean, Bora Bora is a series of small islands (known as an atoll) that form the Leeward Islands in French Polynesia. Very well-known for luxurious hotels, powdery white sands and calm pace of life, it’s the perfect place to escape on holiday for a spot of tropical rest and relaxation. 

There are many great resorts to stay at on the Bora Bora atoll, including some more purse friendly options that offer a more of an ‘easy island living’ feel. At the other end of the scale is pure luxury – chic interiors, gourmet dining and dreamy water bungalows that offer water front views from every angle.

As beautiful as land is, it’s just as special underwater. The Lagoon of Bora Bora is bursting with life and is home to a variety of creatures such as sharks, rays and tropical fish. Heading out to enjoy a spot of snorkelling, scuba diving or a paddle in a canoe is an absolute must. 

We’ve chosen to capture the spirit of a traditional getaway to Bora Bora in our poster design – lazing on the beach surrounded by palm trees, perhaps in a hammock, with some of the island’s famous water villas behind. In the background in the Mount Otemanu, the summit of the volcano on which the island was formed from. Standing at a giant 727 metres tall, it’s located towards the centre of the atoll.
