Calo des Moro was a secret that didn't stay secret for long. Comprising a beach of perfect white sand fringed with pines and shrubs, its relative inaccessibility meant that it was infrequently visited by tourists. Now that the word is out, Calo des Moyo can become busy in the summer months. The nearest town, Santanyi, is four miles away, and its relative seclusion has led to its being dubbed "one of the last paradises in Mallorca" by its caretakers, 'Amics d'Es Calo des Moro' (Friends of Calo des Moro), who work hard to keep the beach and surrounding area pristine.
