Tucked into the heart of Northern Italy, Milan is the second most populous city in Italy but arguably first for being most fashionable. As well as its 3 million strong population year round, twice a year thousands more flock to the city to enjoy Milan Fashion Week to see world-class designers showcase new designs on the runway. 

As well as fashion, Milan is of course well- known for its football and in-city team rivalry. AC Milan was founded in 1899 and has been one of Italy’s top clubs ever since; securing 18 UEFA / FIFA trophies. Rival team Inter Milan was founded a few years later in 1908 and have since gone on to win 19 league titles (1 more than AC) and 4 FIFA / UEFA trophies.  Both teams have been home teams for some of the World’s best footballers over the years, including Luis Suarez and Christiano Ronaldo.

In our poster design you can see a sweeping view across of the city from above Milan Cathedral. Formally known as Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of the Nativity of Saint Mary, it was completed in 1965 after taking a whopping six centuries to construct!  The Cathedral also holds the titles of largest church in Italy, second largest in Europe and third largest in the world. The roof section is open for tourists to visit an enjoy some of its stunning architecture up close as well as seeing views of the city from a different point of  view.
