Located on the Costa Adeje in the South of Tenerife, Torviscas is the place for you if you want to chill out in comfortable surroundings. Even better; its less than half an hour from the airport, so the relaxation can start almost as soon as you get off the plane.

As you will see from our image, Playa de Torviscas (to give its full name) is one heck of a beach that thousands of couples, families and groups of friends from around Europe flock to year-round. The sea in this area is pretty calm so it is a great place to enjoy a bit of a paddle or swim. There are even plenty of water sports on offer for more active holidaymakers; whether it be a gentle ride out on a pedalo, white knuckle adventure on the banana boat or doing your best Bond villain getaway impression on the back of a jet ski.

You don't have to stumble far from the sand to get a drink or snack, the promenade is peppered with bars, eateries and even a shopping centre.

If you fancy an adventure away from the beach, it is really easy to get to other parts of the island from Costa Adeje. These include the island capital of Santa Cruz, Loro Parque (the islands zoo), Siam Park water park or Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spain.
