A visit to Dalt Vila promises to make you feel as if you’re seeing “the real Ibiza”. It may be a slightly lesser known part of The White Isle, but it’s one that has a special and very magical feel to it. Declared a world heritage site in 1999, the name Dalt Vila translates to ‘Upper Town’ and is the original part of Ibiza Town, situated on a mountain by the sea. The second, more modern part of town is named Eixample, meaning ‘extension’.
Nowhere else does romance quite like the restaurants of Dalt Vila. Here you can be wined and dined surrounded by twinkling fairy lights in a medieval castle, overlooking the sea or in the labyrinth of cobbled streets on large cushions. The possibilities are endless and the memories timeless.
One of Dalt Vila’s modern-day charms is its open-air cinema, which shows a mixture of new releases and throwback classics in a dreamy atmospheric surrounding. Visitors can grab their regular cinema snacks before getting cosy on a beanbag to enjoy a film in the balmy evening breeze, surrounded by palm trees and some of the town’s breath-taking ruins.
This history and charm of Dalt Vila are perfectly captured in our new pen, ink and watercolour range of prints. The historic castle looking down over the white-washed buildings fit this more traditional style of artwork that would look great on the walls of any home, allowing your holiday memories to come flooding back each time you look at it.
